Psalm 119:121-144, Chant B
Psalm 119:121-144
Ayin Feci judicium
121 I have done what is just and right; *
do not deliver me to my op-pres-sors.
122 Be surety for your servant’s good; *
let not the proud op-press me.
123 My eyes have failed from watching for your sal-va-tion *
and for your right-eous pro-mise.
124 Deal with your servant according to your loving-kind-ness *
and teach me your sta-tutes.
125 I am your servant; grant me under-stand-ing, *
that I may know your de-crees.
126 It is time for you to act, O LORD, *
for they have broken your law.
127 Truly, I love your com-mand-ments *
more than gold and pre-cious stones.
128 I hold all your commandments to be right for me; *
all paths of falsehood I a-bhor.
Pe Mirabilia
129 Your decrees are won-derful; *
therefore I obey them with all my heart.
130 When your word goes forth it gives light; *
it gives understanding to the sim-ple.
131 I open my mouth and pant; *
I long for your com-mand-ments.
132 Turn to me in mer-cy, *
as you always do to those who love your Name.
133 Steady my footsteps in your word; *
let no iniquity have domin-ion o-ver me.
134 Rescue me from those who op-press me, *
and I will keep your com-mand-ments.
135 Let your countenance shine upon your ser-vant *
and teach me your sta-tutes.
136 My eyes shed streams of tears, *
because people do not keep your law.
Sadhe Justus es, Domine
137 You are righteous, O LORD, *
and upright are your judg-ments.
138 You have issued your de-crees *
with justice and in per-fect faith-fulness.
139 My indignation has con-sumed me, *
because my enemies forget your words.
140 Your word has been tested to the ut-termost, *
and your servant holds it dear.
141 I am small and of little ac-count, *
yet I do not forget your com-mand-ments.
142 Your justice is an everlasting jus-tice *
and your law is the truth.
143 Trouble and distress have come up-on me, *
yet your commandments are my de-light.
144 The righteousness of your decrees is ever-last-ing; *
grant me understanding, that I may live.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spir-it: *
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. A-men.
